Sea Dragon 5000+ with Color Boost Video Light Head SL680

The Flagship 5000+ lumen studio-quality illumination with patent-pending Color Boost™ technology. The SeaLife Sea Dragon 5000+ (SL680) is the pinnacle of underwater lighting. Delivering 5000 continuous lumens (with a 6000-lumen burst mode) across a wide 120-degree beam, its 90 CRI COB LED array replicates natural sunlight. By blending precise red LED frequencies into the main white beam at the push of a button, Color Boost™ restores rich, warm underwater colors that are otherwise lost at depth.

Key Features & Highlights

• 5000+ Lumens Studio Power: Delivers 5000 continuous lumens with a 2-minute 6000-lumen burst setting for maximum illumination on demanding 4K video shoots.

• Patented Color Boost™ Technology: Intelligently mixes warm red LED frequencies into the primary white beam (adjusting color temp from 5000K down to a warm 3700K) to restore vivid reds and oranges.

• 90 CRI Daylight-Balanced COB Array: High Color Rendering Index (CRI 90) eliminates harsh hot spots and replicates natural sunlight for true-to-life marine colors.

• 120° Ultra-Wide Beam Angle: Provides broad 120-degree surface coverage (90° underwater) to evenly illuminate wide-angle reef scenes and pelagic marine life.

• Easy & Advanced Control Modes: Switch between an intuitive 5-mode "Easy Mode" or hold down to access "Advanced Mode" with 8 custom brightness and Color Boost™ levels.

• Stealth Red Light Mode: 220-lumen red-only mode preserves night vision and allows you to approach timid nocturnal sea life without startling them.

• Waterproof Dual O-Ring Battery Chamber: Depth rated to 330 ft (100 m) with an isolated 50Wh Li-ion battery compartment that protects internal electronics even if flooded.

Detailed Description

Professional Underwater Color Reproduction

Water rapidly absorbs red and orange light spectrums as you dive deeper, leaving wide-angle underwater footage looking washed out, cold, and blue. The Sea Dragon 5000+ solves this optical challenge with SeaLife's Color Boost™ technology. At the push of a button, the light blends red wavelengths into its 90 CRI COB LED array, shifting the color temperature to a warm 3700K to reveal vibrant reef hues and natural skin tones.

Dual Ball & Y-S Mount Adaptability

Designed for technical photo and video setups, the SL680 includes both a Flex-Connect Y-S adapter and a standard 1” (25mm) anodized aluminum ball joint adapter in the box. This allows you to mount the light head directly to SeaLife Flex-Connect arms or integrate it into technical 1” ball arm setups from Ultralight, Nauticam, or Ikelite.

Engineered for Rugged Ocean Environments

Constructed from hard-anodized T6061 T-6 aluminum and fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, the SL680 light head dissipates heat efficiently during extended video burns. Thermal sensors monitor the light head temperature, while regulated circuitry maintains constant lumen output throughout the full 60-minute battery cycle.
